Bio

For my undergraduate degree I studied Human Anatomy at the University of Dundee in my home country, Scotland. In 2019, I moved to London to obtain my master’s degree in Neuroscience from King’s College London, which sparked my particular interest in harnessing the potential of organoids for studying neurodevelopment. My MSc thesis focused on developing an open-source high content analysis pipeline to analyse hiPSC-derived gastruloids. From here, I joined the Wellcome Trust Regenerative Medicine PhD Programme. After experiencing the exciting research environment during rotations in the Rico and Berninger labs, I decided to pursue my PhD project with them, where I will be investigating the development of human interneuron synapses in a xenotransplant model.
