Born in Italy, I completed my BSc in Biotechnology at the University of Genova and the MSc in Neuroscience at the University of Trieste. In 2018 I moved to the UK to work on my master thesis research, investigating the development of inhibitory circuits in mouse primary somatosensory cortex in the lab of Prof Simon Butt at the University of Oxford. After being offered a position in the MRC-Sackler Programme at KCL, I moved to London where I obtained an MRes in Neurodevelopmental disorders and where I joined the Rico lab. Here, I'll investigate the impact of gene-environment interaction in a mouse model of schizophrenia.

Outside the lab -not during a pandemic- you would surely find me on a dance floor, spinning on swing tunes and living my '30s fantasy... other than dancing, I also love going to gigs, hiking, and having a cozy night with friends fighting over board games!
