Bio

I completed my undergraduate degree in Biotechnology Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico, and after graduating, I worked as a Voluntary Research Intern in the Varela Lab at the Institute of Neurobiology of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). In 2019, funded by the Mexican Council of Science and Technology, I moved to London to obtain my master's degree in Neuroscience in Developmental Neurobiology at King's College London (2019-20). A year later, I was offered a position in the Wellcome Trust PhD Training Programme in Regenerative Medicine. In October 2022, I joined the Marin Lab to study human cortical interneurons during development.
