Bio

Monika completed her Bachelor degree and Master in Neuroscience degree at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan-Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Sud-Orsay and Université Pierre et Marie Curie (France). She first joined the Marín Lab in 2016 for a Master internship, before starting a PhD as part of the MRC PhD Programme on Developmental Neurobiology in 2017. Her project focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying parvalbumin interneuron specification and maturation.

Monika was a PhD student and then a postdoc in the Marin Lab from 2017 to 2025.
